We spent six wonderful nights at Fornace del Conte – the perfect base for exploring Tuscany at a relaxed pace. The location is quiet yet very well positioned, close to Siena, Arezzo, Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano – all easily reachable by car. The property, a beautifully restored former brick kiln, has a charming and authentic rustic atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with excellent mattresses and modern bathrooms. We truly felt at home. The hosts, Tatjana and Armin, were extremely welcoming and provided great recommendations for restaurants and less touristy places to visit. The pool and garden were perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. We enjoyed breakfast every morning – local products, good coffee, and a peaceful setting. The location offers total tranquility, yet remains well connected to everything Tuscany has to offer. We even took a smooth and easy day trip to Florence by train from Torontola-Cortona station. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for an authentic experience, comfort, and a warm atmosphere. I’d definitely return!

breakfast was lovely, a bit expensive, but the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was cooked for us. the swimming pool was very nice and the room very comfortable and clean. it was also very quiet and peaceful.

We had a lovely stay in the guest house of Tatiana and Armin. The house and its rooms are very neat and tidy and have everything you need to make yourself feel at home. They have really put a lot of effort in renovating the house in an authentic style and their vinyard adds something extra to the atmosphere. Tatiana and Armin were present during our stay and they are really helpful when it comes to providing tips for trips, activities and restaurants. Seriously, you should go with their recommendations, they really know their restaurants!
