This is my second stay with Marina & Firdi. I loved it so much last year when I came to watch the World Cup cyclo cross in nearby Zonhoven I was keen to stay with them again for this year's race. The location is excellent and on your doorstep you have beautiful walks in the forest and to a nearby lake and also not far from Hasselt town and the small Zonhoven stations and on the train line to Brussels and the main airport. They are such a lovely couple & couldn't be more hospitable whilst also giving you your space. Breakfasts are superb and so much choice with options for hot dishes and access to 24 hr coffee and tea-making facilties and soft drinks and alcohol too at a very reasonable price. Firdi also will collect you from Hasselt or Zonhoven stations in his fabulous car (no spoiler alerts here) and take you to various nearby locations if you don't have your own car - very useful in the Winter - with prior notice for a nominal pre-arranged fee. Firdi is a real good handyman too and the facilities he built including a brand new en-suite bathroom this year are 4* hotel standard. Both of them are really friendly and always happy to go that 'extra mile' and help you with little things/problems/requests eg when I needed boot cleaning brushes after walks etc or drive you to the pharmacy or ATM. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms have full electric shutters and blinds for a great night's sleep. A super large plasma TV and office area too and private kitchen and eating area make up great facilities. This couple show how a small B&B should be. Only a couple of rooms at the moment but if you like a quiet retreat but not far from all travel routes in a beautiful neighbourhood then this is definitely the place to stay.

The room was very clean, the owners have eye on details, the breakfast was delicious, the owners would give you information and brochures about area , we had perfect short stay ( 1 night )
