We had such a great stay at Popular Lanta Resort! The bungalows were new and clean with good bathrooms and hot water. Nice seating area in front of each bungalow. We had 2 pools to choose from and the beach is just 5 minutes away walking. The host John was amazing - eager to help with all our needs. Thank you very much for the hospitality! We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay with John, the hotel owner from Portugal, in Koh Lanta. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcome. John is extremely friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist or give local tips about the island. You can definitely expect genuine European-style hospitality – great attention to detail, cleanliness, organization, and warm, personal service. The atmosphere was calm, cozy, and completely stress-free. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Koh Lanta who values sincere hospitality and a high standard of service.

John was always helpful and good-natured for conversation. There's a 7-Eleven nearby. Scooter rental and laundry service are available right at the hotel.

I had the most wonderful stay at Popular and truly couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, relaxed and completely at home. John and his staff are exceptional host — kind, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. The accommodation itself was spotless, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable stay.
