A beautiful and immaculately clean room with a fantastic en-suite shower room in a beautiful stone building situated right by the harbour. A two minute walk to the ferry that takes you to Valletta. Nele the host, was exceptional and very attentive to your needs to ensure a perfect stay. A fabulous breakfast was served on the lovely roof terrace every morning (weather pending) or downstairs as an option. Each morning, the breakfast was a little different which was great.

5 star hosting from Nelli what a super lady, nothing is too much effort for her. She accommodated my gluten and lactose free diet with a good selection at breakfast even freshly making egg and banana pancakes one morning and muffins another which were all delicious. All served on the roof terrace in the morning Sun! The beds were very comfortable. Good WiFi. No problems with mosquitoes as we didn’t open the balcony doors! Good shower with plentiful hot water. Separate sink area with ample vanity space and mirrors and hair dryer. The property which has been sympathetically restored is in a good location literally a 2 minute walk to the ferry terminal to Valletta and walkable to Fort St Angelo. Several good restaurants nearby.

Absolutely fantastic B&B. Nellie is a wonderful host and the location in the three cities is a brilliant base to explore Malta from. There are great public transport links outside for the buses and local ferry to Valetta. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Get lost in the three cities and enjoy the charming scenery. Great breakfast everyday, always something different to enjoy. Tea and coffee facilities in breakfast room.

My partner and I just finished an incredible stay at Nelli’s B&B, and it was easily the highlight of our time in Malta. Located right by the water in the heart of Bormla (Cospicua), this historic building is an absolute masterpiece of Maltese architecture and charm. Being so close to the harbor made every morning feel special. We loved being able to step outside and immediately feel the sea breeze and the energy of the Three Cities waterfront. Why this is a must-stay: The Top Balcony: This is the crown jewel of the house. The views over the Grand Harbour are breathtaking, especially at sunset. We spent every evening up there watching the boats and the historic skyline—it is easily one of the most romantic spots in Malta. Nele’s Hospitality: Nele is a phenomenal host. She is warm, attentive, and has an incredible eye for detail. She made us feel completely welcome from the moment we arrived, providing that rare personal touch that makes a trip truly memorable. The Curated Breakfast: Every morning was a culinary treat. Nele offers a delicious, fresh spread that changes daily. It was clearly made with high-quality ingredients and a lot of care—starting the day with such a thoughtful meal overlooking the water was a dream. The Historic Character: The building itself is stunning. With its high ceilings and traditional stone, it feels grand yet incredibly cozy. It’s been beautifully renovated to keep its historic soul while providing a very comfortable, upscale experience. If you’re looking for a beautiful, historic base in the Three Cities with a host who truly cares, Nelli’s is the place. We’re already planning our next visit!
