Aga “Cheap hotel with nice onsen bath close to the sea”

I really enjoyed the onsen baths—they were relaxing and a great part of the stay. The breakfast and dinner buffet were also very good, mostly standard Japanese dishes with a few Western options. The futon and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated the large selection of yukata—I was able to find one not only in my size (which can sometimes be a challenge in Japan) but also in a design I liked. The location is convenient: the hotel offers a shuttle to and from Atami Station, and it’s only a short walk to the seaside promenades. I also liked the shogi and reading room on the top floor, which has a great view overlooking the town and the sea.

It's a fun hotel. Huge, like something from the soviet bloc, but in a good way. Unlike many chain hotels there's lots of room. Rooms are big and there are Japanese and Western styles, or a mix. It has an annex linked by a bond villain style tunnel under the road. They have a mahjong room, table tennis, a public karaoke room and numerous private karaoke rooms. You won't get that from APA. The locals love it for the natural spas and seem to spend most of their time bathing.

Grand in size, has multiple entertainment, offer shuttle from and to the station. Dinner was good. Outdoor onsen’s nice too and green yukata goes well with the coat
