Spectacular cottage in a beautiful location. This is a real hidden gem. Every effort is made to make you feel welcome and to enhance your stay. A lot of effort has been made to ensure the safety of the location, the host is a true professional who has been doing this for some time. The premises clearly generates a lot of repeat custom so if you see it available do not hesitate to book I know I would love to go back there. There are so many great walks both from the doorstep and in the locality we only scratched the surface. There are 2 excellent pubs only a short walk away without having to go on any main roads. The cottage is extremely dog friendly as are the 2 pubs I just mentioned. We were staying with a baby in our party and every effort was made to accomodate the needs of the baby and its parents. The cottage is very well stocked so we didn't need to take a lot of things with us. We particularly enjoyed sitting out and dining in the beautiful garden enjoying views of the surrounding hills when the weather was nice. A lot of information was provided beforehand to make sure our arrival was smooth and we had no trouble locating the property. It really is every bit as good as the photos suggest.

The best property we have stayed in, by far, thank you. We had a warm welcome, hand made loaf, milk and butter in the fridge (needed after an 8 hour drive, though there’s a convenience shop a ten minute drive away) and a bottle of bubbly; such lovely touches. Well appointed, comfortable, warm, plenty of space in the house, and incredible views. The garden bench is the perfect place for a coffee. The owner was friendly and helpful though not intrusive. A perfect getaway, and not too far from the wedding venue we attended. We had fish and chips from nearby Kirkby Stephen, and Sunday lunch in the Black Bull in Nateby, all great.
