We had a wonderful stay at La Rebiere d'or. If you like antiques and something a little different then this is the place to stay. Catherine our host was lovely and friendly and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was plentiful. The room (which was the monkey room) was large and the bed was comfortable. We had a lovely view of the river. The grounds are wonderful and at the edge of the Dodogne river. The house is decorated better than any of the Chateau's we visited. There is also a lovely pool. It was the perfect place to stay whilst we toured the surrounding area.

La Ribiere d’Or is the most beautiful house in a fabulous position right on the banks of the river. We had a wonderful time and Mme Fournel and her husband could not have been more charming or helpful. We loved staying there.

The property is superb and well worth a visit. The owners have taken great care to decorate it in a wholly unique and enchanting manner, it paints the picture of Miss Haversham's house prior to the day of her marriage, in Great Expectations. Our host's were an absolute joy and made our stay extremely comfortable.
