We've now stayed at both Avaelie House and Lynton House. We were initially disappointed that we couldn't book Avaelie house for the steam right outside the house and the closeness of the centre- however- as soon as we got to Lynton House, we found it was equally as wonderful and once we worked out the route in the centre it suited our needs much better.

I've stayed in a lot of different locations across the UK since I took to the Booking dot com app three years ago and don't always have the time to complete reviews but this delightful town house in Hebden Bridge deserves a special mention. It was beautifully clean, comfortable, well-situated etc, all the things you would expect from a place with a 9-plus rating, but two things were exceptional in my experience. First, Natalie, the host, contacted me directly by personal text message to welcome us and let us know she lived nearby in the event of any problems (which there weren't), and secondly the welcome gifts in the fridge were an outstanding surprise. Beers, two bars of chocolate, a packet of chocolate biscuits, two pints of milk, croissants, lemon cakes. Even with my sweet tooth, we couldn't manage to finish all of them in the 5 days we were here😁. Kindness of the highest degree. Thank you very much.

Communication beforehand and welcome from the host was excellent. The property was well equipped with all we needed and some extra treats as well. It was a short walk into Hebden Bridge and an excellent base to enjoy the delights of Yorkshire.
