Both the Jacuzzi jetted bath tub and the Jacuzzi hot tub provide relaxing hydrotherapy, either in your own room or maybe on the balcony if there is a hot tub. A Jacuzzi bath or hot tub is synonymous with pleasure and relaxation and is a great way to enjoy your stay in Dublin.
The Corinthia hotel in London has a Vitality Pool which takes the Jacuzzi to the next level, offering a variety of air and water massage jets in a huge pool. It’s part of the ESPA spa, which has every health and beauty treatment you could imagine
If you are extra lucky what about a Jacuzzi and a fireplace! Add room service and on a winters night there is absolutely no reason to leave your hotel room. Or a hot tub Jacuzzi on a rooftop terrace sounds amazing too.
A Jacuzzi is a bathtub that includes one or more water jets around the sides, sometimes called a jetted whirlpool bath or a spa bath. Adding air to the water jets is a way to soften the pressure of the water jets. The 'hot tub' version of the Jacuzzi incorporates it's own heating and filtration into the tub and is often used outside.
Jacuzzi is in fact the surname of the original inventors of the jetted bathtub. The very inventive Jacuzzi brothers immigrated from Italy to southern California around 1900.
The original Jacuzzi was a portable water pump with jets that you placed into a bath of warm/hot water. From their machine shop in California the Jacuzzi brothers initially they started making aeroplane propellers and built two prototype aeroplanes which never made it into manufacturing. They then designed a water pump which performed well and became very popular. Ken Jacuzzi, the son of Roy was born in 1941 and developed rheumatoid arthritis as a child. The treatment at the time was hydrotherapy in large stainless steel baths with water pumps available in hospitals only. Kens parents developed a pump they could use in the bath tub at home and the first Jacuzzi bathtub was born, the portable device was placed into the bath to provide hydrotherapy at home.
To meet consumer interest and increasing awareness of health and wellness the first bath tub with inbuilt jets was made in 1968 and by 1970 the Jacuzzi Hot tub was developed incorporating heating and filtration into the design.
