We totally fell in love with this property and the valley. Absolutely outstanding. We were met by Florence, who is very engaging and friendly and showed us the house and how to use the swim spa. I wish we had discovered this property when our boys were young as it is a perfect family base as well as being a wonderfully tranquil getaway for couples who appreciate nature. The house is very well equipped, the beds very comfortable with clean crisp bedding. The shower is great and hot water plentiful if you need it. Comfy sofas too when you do drag yourself indoors eventually. Waking up to a view of the mountains on a clear day was breathtaking, and we couldn't wait to explore. Outside you are surrounded by nature, grazing animals (the nearby farmer has a herd of beautiful goats), rocky hilltops, wooded slopes, birds of prey, smaller garden birds and we were even visited by a lovely big fat toad.. The village of Arrens was friendly with a great boucherie, small supermarket, local produce shop, pizzeria and more! As a location, ideally placed to explore from in all directions with many walks, natural sights and local villages all within very easy reach. We are already looking at when we can return again.
